Hiring People With Cognitive Disabilities
Gleam Car Wash is excited to announce we are partnering with Children’s Hospital Colorado to support their Project SEARCH program the entire month of July!
Gleam is matching all donations up to $10,000 and Arc Thrift is also matching up to $10,000. This gives us the chance of raising a collective $30,000 for this amazing program! Help us give individuals with cognitive abilities an opportunity to thrive!
Supporting Our community
We started Gleam with a focus on giving back to our community in the best ways possible. One of the initiatives we’re most proud of is our proactive employment outreach to hire as many people with cognitive disabilities as we can. Typically, between 5 and 20 percent of our staff are individuals on the autism spectrum or who have another cognitive disability.
Project Search
Project Search supports high school students with significant disabilities as they transition into the workforce. It has grown from a single program site at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center to an international network of sites and programs. Project SEARCH’s primary objective is to secure competitive employment for people with disabilities.
Gleam is proud to be a supporter of Project SEARCH and has already hired three graduates from their programs!
